New Website, New Opportunities!

We are very excited to announce our new website!! Simplyselfesteem.com is live and ready! This website provides everyone, businesses and individuals to donate, sign up for volunteer opportunities, and learn more about how they can help Simply Self Esteem make a huge impact on our teens in the Panhandle.

Our goals this year is to have a bucket of hygiene essentials in every school through out the school year and to supply 400 bags to individual teens through out the panhandle. These bags are given to the Anchorage Children’s Home, middle and high schools throughout Bay County, churches, and many other avenues to get these teens what they need to increase their self esteem, provide a healthier lifestyle, and make their future brighter.

Each bag costs around $13 to make and twice a year we accumulate all donations and have a Packing Party!! These packing parties are a couple of hours long and everyone joins in a production line stuffing bags full of essentials. Each bag has a minimum of a bar of soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, and deodorant and feminine products for the women. We love to throw in extras like nail trimmers, body wash, cologne, brushes, combs, tweezers, make up wipes, etc.

The buckets include these items as well and are placed in the nurses or coaches office for faculty to give through out the year. There are currently 24 schools in Bay County that teach teens. To have just 5 items each for all the schools, we would need 120 bars of soap, conditioner, deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes… and so on.

So we need your help! Tell your friends, neighbors, family all the ways they can help. Individuals and Business can donate their time, money, or a place to keep a bucket of donations. Head over to our How to Help page to see how you can help provide a better future for our local teens.

Thank you for visiting our website and we hope you share our goals with everyone you know!

New Volunteer Opportunities

Donating money isn’t the only way to give to charitable organizations, many of whom rely on volunteers for various services. If you find yourself with free time on your hands on your weekend, or during the week, you could consider putting in some community service. Not only will you help a good cause, but it can also be a way to meet people and learn new skills.

Celebrate Microvolunteering Day

You want to get involved and give back to the community, but can’t fit another big commitment into your busy schedule? Then microvolunteering might just be the thing.

Microvolunteering is a small, bite-sized task or project, that is quick and easy to perform. Best of all there’s a range of things you could do online, in as little as 30 minutes. Donating processing time on your computer, signing an online petition, or promoting a charity on social media are all examples of microvolunteering that you could do today.
